My client’s job has her on her feet all day. Her one wish was for a soaking tub. What she didn’t expect was BainUltra’s Geysair technology that maintains a consistent tub temp even if soaking for hours. No waste of water draining & refilling to keep the bath warm. One of the coolest features in this bathroom is something you don’t see & that’s Kohler’s flush ceiling mount tub filler!
My client doesn’t require much storage so we were able to create a pair of shallow floating vanities for a dramatic modern look. Vertical grain walnut & Ocean Blue quartzite provide color contrast in the otherwise monochromatic room.
We used the same large format tile on the floor in slip resistant matte finish & walls in gloss for a seamless look with subtle contrast. With floor to ceiling tile we didn’t require a full shower enclosure & were able to create a Wet Room enabling the client to easily transition from tub to shower.
We fell in love with Graff’s sliver thin gooseneck faucet which is so sexy it should be called a swan’s neck. Stone Forest custom made limestone sinks to complement the bathroom finishes. We opted for an irregular organic shape to offset the abundance of 90 degree angles in the space.

In His bath we chose a handsome Kast concrete vessel sink in a soft capsule shape. We didn’t want to break up the lines of the space with decorative lighting. Framing a shallow soffit allowed for soft uplighting. Matrix custom sized anti-fog mirrors to fit the space offering both direct and indirect lighting in the color temperature of our choosing. Pella’s internal blinds let natural light in & offer privacy when desired without the bulk of wall mounted window treatments.
It takes a lot of work from a lot of talented people to transform these spaces from drab to fab. I am nothing without my vendors and contractors. There is no way I could have photographed these tight spaces without the artistry of Nader Essa.
