Selected Case Studies

The client wanted to create a more dramatic space. Transforming this powder
room involved four steps:

• removing the builder-installed full-width wall mirror and replacing it
  with an elegant, framed antique reproduction
• replacing the pedestal sink with a wrought iron stand and travertine
  vessel with wall-mounted plumbing fixtures
• incorporating some of the client's own accessories with lifelike
  botanicals
• decorative painter katie gaines of eitak design (www.eitak.com) coated the
  walls above the chair rail with venetian plaster, a technique that infuses
  layers of rich pigment with lustrous metallics. below the chair rail katie
  suggested a complementary antique gold paint.
